![]() Using that you can download the two updaters I linked to, and then use the App Store to apply the download code you get for Lion. Snow Leopard comes on physical disks, so you can boot from them, completely erase the hard disk (making sure it's in the correct format - Mac OS Extended (Journaled)* - and then install Snow Leopard. After 20 years of being a Windows geek I would really like to move across to the Mac world, but I'm not prepared to consider dropping a substantial sum on a new machine until I have found a better support experience. But that's just the point - I just need to download it which doesn't seem too much to ask seeing I paid for it. It seems that in order to be able to download it I have to have done so previously, or have it already running on the iMac. But I cannot find where to use this code and have become hopelessly confused. ![]() After some poking around I was able to purchase a code to enable me to download OS X Lion from the app store. At present it has Ubuntu installed on it which actually runs quite well, but I really want to get the original OD which was Lion back on it. Yes, I know it's an old version of OS X, but I have a very faithful iMac of that era that has been passed to me. ![]()
